What Is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient healing art that works by rebalancing the body’s flow of energy by creating a better environment for the body to heal itself. It involves the insertion of ultra-fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body, as a means of stimulating the body’s points to promote natural healing and restore a sense of overall well-being.
How can we help?
What we find from talking to our patients is that it’s not just the pain destroying their quality of life, but more so the things they are missing out on because of it.
So whether you’re missing out on taking a walk, playing with the grand children, or playing a round of golf because of persistent pain or limited mobility, we at Urban Body are focused on helping you get back to living a pain-free life and doing the things you love.
After 12 year’s of pain & pain killers, After 3 sessions at URBAN BODY I am finally getting pain relief!

FAQ
During the first appointment, your therapist will conduct a full assessment to understand your concerns, your goals and the root cause of your problem and prescribe a treatment plan tailored to you. During this assessment the therapist will determine the specific acupuncture points to target to achieve the desired results.
You may feel a small prick with each needle. It’s less painful than the feeling when you get a vaccine or blood draw. Acupuncture needles are much thinner than medical needles, and they are solid, not hollow. The needles may cause some muscle sensations, such as dull ache or tingling. Your practitioner will ask you to report when you feel a deep heaviness or numbness. Those sensations usually mean the treatment is working. The resulting relief from physical and emotional discomfort often leads to patients experiencing a sense of well-being after treatment.
We will ensure that the procedures are performed with precision, adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The needles are sterile, disposable and as thin as a human hair. An acupuncturist inserts needles at various depths, from a fraction of an inch to a couple of inches. The needles stay in for a few minutes or as long as 20 minutes.
